Fun fact: During the trip, we went to mass at the only parish run by Opus Dei! The church is BEAUTIFUL! Worth a visit!

Thank gooooooodness Maggie took the map and became our guide. Anyone dealing with me and directions will understand this one! The neighborhood that our hostel was in was AMAZING: great coffee shops, clothes shopping, donut shops, tea shops…everything was lovely!

Day 4: The Art Institute of Chicago

Day 5: Lost (& Found) in the Chicago Airport

After a quick hour of sheer terror that we would miss our flight, we did not! We found our way by literally asking flight attendants at random– who were SO pleasant and helped us find where we needed to be…just in time for a quick weather delay (just 40 minutes…really not as bad as the 3-day delay in Lima…so I was content).

Great trip, AMAZING company, and COLD weather…as one would expect in the middle of January…in the middle of Chicago…and with this expectation, we saw all the sights without waiting in ONE line. Life is good in non-tourist season!

Thanks for reading. Much love, readers!
